Oldwatch
Oldwatch is a relatively small settlement in the northeastern part of [Ianrel Island] in The Aryan Isles along The Visgarde Path. With a population a little bit under 3000, Oldwatch is a typically regarded as a sleepy little town.
In the year 1293 N.E, TBD arrived in Oldwatch as they finished up the escort mission of Elyon Denar and discovered there was a disturbance in the town. Most of the people there seemed sleep deprived and the population had significantly decreased. Only the kindly innkeeper Letara had any indication of what was going on. According to her, the dreams of the people in town were in disarray.
Demographics
Roughly 60% human, with the rest of population being comprised largely of elves, dwarves, and tieflings. A few Kalashtar have been known to inhabit the city as well.
Government
Oldwatch is run by its ruling noble, Alibaster Snow. The town has a small branch of local law enforcement as well as a local lawmaster. The townspeople pay a small percentage of their income to the ruling noble, who in turn sends the majority of those taxes towards the capital of Southspire in order to fund the royal government.
Infrastructure
Blacksmiths, a few bridges, several long streets, and a designated marketplace. Most houses exist along the main road, The Visgarde Path.
Districts
Due to its size, Oldwatch does not have formalized districts. It does have an informal market district as well as a slightly higher end part of town near the residence of Alibaster Snow.
Assets
Several stores, a small reserve stored in House Snow, a small armory, and a small handful of magical artifacts stored at house snow as well.
Points of interest
Oldwatch is typically a sleepy town that serves primarily as a trade stop along The Visgarde Path. The main points of interest are usually its marketplace and the Oldwatch chapter of the Aryan Adventurer's Guild. Other than that, you'd be hard pressed to find much of interest here besides perhaps The Obsidian Grove, an ancient graveyard on the outskirts of owing back to a time before the founding of the Isles. Most folks tend to leave the area alone, citing it to be "a little unsettling".
Architecture
Mostly small one story thatch buildings. Very typical fantasy architecture is employed.
Geography
A few rolling hills, some farmlands, and a river that flows through the middle of town.
