Rogues Gallery - Skìrah

Written by David_Ulph

The following is a list of bandit gangs, groups and leaders active throughout the region of Skìrah during the Pack Civil-War and then the early Fourth Age. These gangs have been especially picked out by High King Alnitak Wintersblood and then High King Drake Wolfspack to have permanent bounties on all members.

The Addled Gang

In Valhol Hold, the Addled Gang operate purely throughout Valsport, thus being a direct nuisance to House Valaesmirr. Through the black market, a local druglord who once operated in Valsport's Thieves Guild found the recipe for a drug so powerful that it turns whoever drinks it into a zombie-like state, allowing them to survive attacks that would kill them a hundred times over but be effectively brain-dead. It is extremely addictive and if drank enough, the addict enters the state forever, completely subservient to the druglord.

The Armourbreakers

Bernulf's Blindeyes

The Blackbow Steelshots

The Blackheart Company

The Blight

The Blood Walruses

Clan Blueskull

Clerics of the Burning Rose

Cult of the Ghost Knight

In Streamwood Hold, the Cult of the Ghost Knight operate in the Deadwood. According to local tales and stories, there was once a mighty bandit king who was a dishonoured knight hiding out in the Deadwood. He is always noted to be somewhat honourable, only raiding other bandit groups and camps similarly hiding out in the Deadwood, as well as those who attack his own loyal followers. It is further said that this bandit king was murdered by some of his lieutenants who took over the bandit warband, only for him to escape Limbo as a ghost who then slaughtered those who betrayed him. The remaining bandits now venerate the old ghost-knight as a deity and follow in his honourable ways.

The Dawnwardens

The Diggers

In Streamwood Hold, the Diggers operate in the Gallbaig Thanedom, thus being a direct nuisance to House Icehorn. There was once a group of independent miners that uncovered a treasure trove of a mass tomb within the mountains that split Skìrah and Mordwynn and, after trading these finding in Brighthome, became rich beyond reason. To make more profit, the miners hired brutes to form a bandit group specialising in a protection racket and mining operation to dig deeper into the ruins they first came across.

The Discarded

The Disgraced

The Doomsayers

In Frostern Hold, the Doomsayers operate in the Camasvaig Thanedom, thus being a direct nuisance to House Whiteraven. The world of Terralba is one of true despair and some people, who's families have been butchered or constantly publicly shamed, and everything in between. In Skìrah, some of these people have banded together in Frostern, feeling as though the End Times are nigh and will preach to all outsiders they come across to repent before it comes. Those that don't comply will be robbed, raided, or sacrificed to the nameless deity of the End Times.

Dusk Dealers

In Frostern Hold, the Dusk Dealers have a base of operation somewhere in the Norheim Thanedome, thus being a direct nuisance to House Wintertooth. An organized band of smugglers and drug dealers, this bandit group is led by a mysterious leader known only as Dusk - hence the name. Most narcotic and illicit sales and transport in Skirah are operated by this band and local law enforcement always find even one member extremely difficult to track down. They are known to carry the best equipment money can buy legally or illegally.

The Forsaken Order

The Foul Friars

In Frostern Hold, the Foul Friars operate in the Oskaig Thanedom, thus being a direct nuisance to House Bearskull. The Foul Friars is a cult of plague-ridden savages that pretend to be travelling healer-priests of Padan. They promote healing methods and good health, while spreading as many diseases as they can. Those they infect generally tend to join the group leading to a snowball effect if not hunted down and treated by local law enforcement regularly.

The Frostborn

The Goldbreakers

The Gore Hounds

The Heartbroken

In Streamwood Hold, the Heartbroken operate in Streamwood proper, thus being a direct nuisance to House Aesmann. There was once a manor-house in Streamwood that was a place where scorned lovers could go to heal lovesick wounds and move on with their lives. The caretaker of this place was a radiant beauty, but when she was refused by a man she helped heal whom she had fallen in love with as he went back to his cheating lover, she grew bitter and hateful. Now she runs a bandit / facility group for scorned women that seek redemption to men that have scorned them.

He now has a horde of huge heavy armoured bandits that have delirious plans of destroying the GWE.

In Frostern Hold, the Ironhands operate in the Great Glen, thus being a direct nuisance to House Wintersblood. Based in a cave that overlooks the Bekkar River and led by a brigand known as Hajvarr Ironhand, they constantly raid wagons travelling on the Great Imperial Road. Local guards report that members of the band wield longswords and wear steel armour and that, after a raid on a pelt and fur merchant, have a wolf as a guard dog that goes on raids with them.

Kaer's Bowmen

The Lightning Wolves

In Valhol Hold, the Lightning Wolves operate in the Lanraig Thanedom, thus being a direct nuisance to House Aesmann of Chillsand. Once famed hunters that started to find hunting animals boring as they were too easy to catch and paid too little for the effort. Their greedy and arrogant leader decided to start hunting men, becoming a band of bounty hunters but when they found that too restricting without a natural thrill of the hunt, they went into banditry.

Longhammer's Liars

Palemoon Bandits

The Pine Vermin

In Streamwood Hold, the Pine Vermin operate in the Skeavaig Thanedom, thus being a direct nuisance to House Aesmann of Godfriland. The continent of Elgerlia was recently ravaged by the Great Plague a decade prior and communities are beginning to recover fully. Though, during the Great Plague, there was a crazed wizard in the Arcane Academy on the Faar Isles who became fascinated by it. The wizard tried to figure out why and how the plague spread so efficiently and how to make mortals immune if it were to happen again. To achieve this, the wizard was attempting to recreate a fatal and infectious poison to conduct his research, which caused the extremist member to be kicked out of the Academy. He returned to his original home of Streamwood, hiding out in the Great Pine Forest by injecting the poisons into Giant Rats and experimenting on living people. Studying at the Academy is expensive, and as he was expelled, he now uses these funds to hire a bandit group around him for protection and an easy supply of test subjects.

The Unloyal

The Weary Band

In Valhol Hold, the Weary Band operate in the Bearnalan Thanedom, thus being a direct nuisance to House Trollking of Bjornhold.
