House Aesmann of Dun Fur

The Earls of Streamwood

Written by David_Ulph

Characteristics

Nobility

Aesmann Lords wear dyed green tunics and ermine-fur cloaks like most other Korg nobles. Instead of wolf-fur around the shoulders, Aesmann Lords wear Beastblood-furs instead, usually the hide of their first hunt. The tunic will either be plain or have the coat of arms in the front chest. Around the waist will be a thin leather belt, designed with small Aesmann Coats of Arms. As a Korg House that prefers it's nobility as cavalry, most lords wear high riding boots but, due to the further appeal for hunting, many nobles will instead wear almost knee-high leather boots. Across the entire outfit, Lords are known to decorate with claws and teeth of game and Beastbloods they have killed.

Aesmann Ladies also wear the cloaks of their brothers and husbands, except instead of Beastblood-fur, a foal-hide around the shoulders. They will wear dresses from colours such as green, orange and yellow (often depending on the colours of the trees). Green dresses will usually also have the same embroidered floral design as the Earl. The Earl of Streamwood's tunic will often be covered in a golden embroidered pattern depicting leaves falling to the ground. As a Great House, the Aesmanns are rich and will show this off with preferably pure old neck-chains and earrings embedded with ambers, as well as other jewellery. During public events or when visiting the courts of the Emperor, the long tunics are replaced with pure white high collared linen shirts, tight green hoses and fashionable hats.

Horses ridden by Aesmann noble cavalry are all equipped with mail chanfrons and crinieres, white caparisons with crossing blue patterns (or mirroring personal coats of arms if they are extremely different), noble bridles and saddles, and intricate horseshoes designed to accelerate the horse's trot and canter.

The familiar facial features of House Aesmann are flinty green eyes and slightly curled brown hair. Skin is soft and fair, like many Korgs. The House is noted to be hardy and tempered, with their knights infamous for berserker rages, as well as proud, boisterous and fierce. Usually on the tall end of Korgs, Aesmanns will be both muscular and bulky. Older lords of the House generally seem to share ruddy faces and shaggy white beards.
