The gods as they are known on Tempax are mostly dispassionate and uninvolved, difficult to get ahold of or convince to intervene directly. This is not to say they don't, won't, or can't; they are most often known to take direct action or make explicit appearances on grounds consecrated to them. Somewhat less rarely than direct appearances, their divine servitors are sent out into the world beyond consecrated grounds, but only on explicitly-defined tasks, the strictures of which the servitors tend not to veer outside of. Overall, the gods concern themselves with maintaining the proper activity of their domains. For most of them, this means little to no interference with mortals. A prayer to any deity with their symbol in hand or on their consecrated ground has a strong chance of at least being heard, however; many a mortal has discovered this the hard way when cursing a deity in a moment of frustration.
