Triangle at Trifold
Located in the upper city on a triangular lot just a bit below the Yatian Forum, this restaurant is a favorite haunt for senators, government officials, and those members of Yaty's business community looking to improve their fortunes. The truly wealthy entrepreneurs, like Marcus and Persephone Von Gretten, would never step foot in the place. In contrast, Senator Persius Jakare can almost always be found at a corner table in late morning, sipping tea and holding court amongst his constituents and supports.
While the place gets the second part of its name from its location, it takes the first part from its two signatures dishes. The first, called trifold eggs are scrambled, fried flat, and then folded over themselves. The second are known as a trifold cake and made from cake batter poured thinly and then fried, again folded over twice. The restaurant offers various fillings for both trifolds ranging from olives and salted fish to mangos and spiced or honeyed nuts. The success of both dishes has been so great that the Trifold at Triangle is no longer serving dinner, becoming the city’s first breakfast only establishment.
