Theridon Bay
Cut deep into the northwest corner of the Prydith Peninsula, Theridon Bay is deep and cold, much like the Gulf of Gartcha that connects it to the rest of the Darsiac Ocean ocean. Like the Gulf, it has little in the way of fish or predators. The whales that travel into the Gulf in the winter months, however, seem to stay out of the bay itself. Some say this absence is due to the bevy of ships that sail in and out of the Bay on route to Yaty, one of Tarien's busiest ports. The Bay itself, separated from the Ocean by the wide peninsula covered with the Theridon Forests, shelters the waters from most storms and might be the single greatest factor in the development Yatian seafaring. Others claim that the bottom of the Bay holds the ruins of a city, sunk millennia ago and destroyed in the Age of Sun by strange magics that, to this day, keep the whales away.
