Rar-Lien Bay
A deep bay in northwest Tarien, Rar-Lien Bay forms at the mouth of the Lien River, at the foot of the Rheuthengage Mountains. Its waters run closer to cobalt than the pure blue of waters further south, its waters picking up the rich mineral deposits from the river's outflow. The great current that sweeps south along the northwest coast of Tarien skirts the bay, trapping the warmer water close to shore. This warmer water means that like Reth Bay further south, Rar-Lein Bay sees many migrating whales in the summer months. Local fishermen sail amongst these giants to catch the great schools of sardines that appear around the same time.
