Gunther's Riders
Established years ago by the royal huntsman of Drakkar, they still patrol the Clay Steppes around Pembrooke. Atop their mighty War Stags, they spend most of their lives idling away in the tall grass of the Steppes. When a pride of lions or a pack of wild dogs is seen within the Pembrooke perimeter, however, it is their task to drive them out. Their ranks are filled mostly with former cavalrymen from the Republican Army – generally those that disliked the structure of military life but enjoyed the open range. Unparalleled horsemen, Gunther’s Riders fight fiercely, using their War Stags as powerful weapons in battle.
