Khárī-Cathán̂, the Firstborn of Wolves (KhAri-Kath.An)
Khari-Cathan, also Kh’árī-Cat’hán̂ are the Firstborn of Wolves as they are worshipped by the Eldest Faith of the Leshivoi Forest.
They are also referred to by a number of titles like the Twin-Wolf Gods, the Twiceborn Hunters, the Children of Above as well as Kahári and Catháēn (KahAri-Kath.A.ehn)
They are part of the Spoke of Summer within the Wheel of Seasons and are said to be the children of the Two Gods Above Sháelûnē and Háel-Lu.en.
The Twin Wolves are usually worshipped as a pair, embodying the conceptual domains of martial prowess, the hunt, vitality, rage and vengeance as well as transformations and the changing of physical shape in the Eldest Faith.
Both Kahari and Cathaen are said to be able to take two distinct shapes, that of a humanoid with wolf-like traits, that of a great wolf as well as a hybrid shape similar to that of the Vukash'ai.
Worship of the Twin Wolf Gods is also prevalent among the Lüngarmen and Warg who both believe their two species to embody one of the dual aspects of the Twin Wolves and have lost the other.
The Kobolts of the Leshivoi Forest also worship the Twin Wolves and believe Forest Dragons to be their Great Beasts Incarnae and most direct offspring and embodiment.
Some claim that Vukash (Wolfborne Madness) is the highest sacred blessing of the Twin Gods and that within the Leshivoi Forest live born Vukash'ai (as opposed to afflicted ones) that worship them and are worshipped as Incarnae of them by the other Forestfolk in turn.
