Ryndalgren

Ryndalgren, from Elivish "emerald," is a hard-to-reach settlement of cloistered elves who are shut off mostly to the outside world, although not hostile, just reclusive. Visitors are uncommon, yet not rare, due to Ryndalgren's charm, mystique, and relative closeness to the populous Hevedberg.  The elvish town features stone-hewn buildings with intricate carvings and decorations, carved from nearby stone and boulders.  Wooden buildings from Moethean pine make up the central corridor of buildings, including a stave church-style temple.

Demographics

Mostly elvish, with very few dwarf and human residents that moreso oversee trade businesses, like importing stone and wood and overseeing construction of new buildings.

Government

Elf families elect a mayor who serves indefinitely, although new leaders are appointed somewhat regularly, as if taking turns.

Defences

Boulders and stone exterior buildings, along with elf rangers and scouts throughout the highlands, especially patrolling the three lakes.

Industry & Trade

Elvish weapon-making and fine goods trading, collections of fine artifacts

Infrastructure

Flattened stone-cut roads atop the stony landscape

History

Elves lived atop the Forenthir Highlands to retreat from non-elf influence and to build dedicated temples to their gods.

Architecture

Stone buildings hewn from grey boulders as well as dark brown wooden structures, houses, stave churches, guild hall, tavern, stores.  The buildings are only one or two stories, so the town remains somewhat hidden and obscured.

Geography

Located in a bowl-shaped depression with its own ponds of rainwater, the entire town is lower elevation, hiding it from plain sight when viewed atop of the highlands.
