Wako Belt

The Wako Belt is one of the most resource rich locations in the entirety of Pacifica, and was one of the largest mining sectors before the Age of Silence. When the gates fell, Wako was left without resources. Panic ensued, the rich executives quickly launched sleeper ships in the direction of Mek-Two, Medina and Carthage. Those left were doomed to keep afloat stations that were dwindling on reserve rations.

Only then did the Sardania Nomads arrive, evacuating the remaining survivors. Many acclimated and joined the Nomads permanently, eventually forming their own nomad fleet. When the gates re-opened, it became a scramble to reclaim the belt, picking clean the former abandoned mining stations. The Musura Federation has taken great interest here, and the Grand Baronies of Carthage are claiming it is their hereditary right. The Alliance of United Stars has striven to keep it a neutral space, while the Sardania Nomads warn that some things are better left alone. It is now a high-conflict zone.
