Tall Town

Kowloon Autonomous Ward, or better known as Tall Town, is one of the most densley populated wards on Thraka. While technically the system is firmly under the Imperial authority, Tall Town rarely sees anyone from the Empire on their day to day basis. The majority of governance is technically handled by the Thrakan Congregations, authorities appointed directly by their imperial supporters. They are corrupt, and most of the real day to day governance is done on a neighborhood by neighborhood basis. The Pacifica Liberation Front has made great strides in unifying the disparate factions into a somewhat unified underground government.
In recent history, Tall Town has proven a great thorn in the side of the Empire. Regular hit and run attacks are launched from hidden outposts within the ward. Some of these have even included orbit capable fighters or Ground-to-Orbit Missile Portable Launcher attacks on orbiting imperial naval vessels. Some of these have escalated to the point of direct imperial invasion, like the Siege of Talltown. The Chandra Singh Metro is key to the PLF's continued success. It is a robust and widespread network of logistical tunnels that allows the resistance forces to move freely without spy satellites from the Colonial Security Bureau or Imperial Intelligence Service spotting them.

Demographics

Tall Town has the highest concentration of cosmoplitans among all the prefectures on Thraka. It is also one of the highest concentrations of people per square kilometer in almost all of the mid rim.
