Research and Novelty District
The RND is a highly monitored district of Neon Server dedicated to providing new products and technologies for the User base. Given the limitations of memory, much of the actual work involves recreating forgotten designs or rearranging elements to form new entertainment and fashion.
Faction Presence
- Civic Obscura (T3): A formerly secret society dedicated toward not merely meeting User desires but observing patterns in civic design to anticipate future needs. Civic Obscura is also known for performing sociological experiments with willing Users.
- Open Source Office (T2): Provider of the open source code used for standard equipment, the work is generally not prestigious, but backed by the Administration.
- Synaesthesia, Inc. (T1): Researchers in the limits of consciousness and manufacturer of legal Code Drugs. Ethical issues have cropped up recently involving experiments with Shades.
