Citadel of the Sky

The Citadel of the Sky is the royal castle in Elmazar, and is tall enough to be visible from most parts of the city. It's made entirely out of white stones with blue roofs, which is partly responsible for the name. The other reason for the name is that it reaches almost all the way to the actual sky, and on some days it seems like it's touching the clouds.

The building was constructed when it was decided that the capital city of Asharia was going to be moved from Mandural to Elmazar. Only perfection was good enough for the current king at that time, and that lead to a construction time of several decades. It paid off in the end, though, since the Citadel of the Sky is one of the most splendid buildings on Shireon, only challenged by the Tower of Lenthos. No other royal dwelling looks as good as the Citadel.

The gates into the castle building itself is made of a light kind of wood which is extremely durable, and the hinges are of massive polished steel. The stell is in fact looking like a slightly grey shade of silver, and is constantly maintained to keep its shine.
