The Returned

The descendants of those who escaped into Refuge during the Destruction, later to return and found the The Protectorates . Most live within the Protectorates still, and the outposts of Uferbrech , but there are enclaves that broke off from the primary nations - founding the Circle of Malama far to the north, or mingling with the tribes of the Shimmerlands or Torik. The Returned are comprised of a diversity of races - mostly Arkin and Middlekin, but also a number with Stoneforged or Bloodforged ancestry. They are set apart due to the lack of scars that only those whose ancestors lived through and survived Shadowfire wear proudly.
