Seven Sins, Seven Wonders, Seven Heavens, Seven Gems, Seven Heroes . . . We are the Seven Tomes Chapter. We love the fantasy genre, for the wonder it can be bring, and for the limitless creativity found within its works.
Greetings, from the Tomes!
Who We Are
Seven Tomes is a chapter dedicated to worldbuilding in the fantasy genre. We are creators of fantasy worlds, weavers of heroic tales, and lovers of fantastical subjects. Among our ranks are numerous talented worldbuilders, artists, writers, and more! This is a chapter for lovers of the WorldAnvil community, who have a lot of love in their hearts for the creations of others, in addition to their own. We just love fantasy!
Where We Started
Originally formed in 2019, our chapter has been around since the earliest days of chapters on WorldAnvil. As a result, our members range from veteran Anvilites to fresh faces in the community, and all of the stages in between! Leadership has changed hands twice since the chapter was formed, but its purpose and vision have remained the same throughout the years. Over the years, many chapters in the community went dark, some even dissolving entirely, though Seven Tomes was one of several that stuck it through.
Where We Are Now
Fast forward to 2023, and WorldAnvil is experiencing a chapter renaissance, in which chapters are getting talked about, older chapters are being given new life, and new chapters are forming to give more groups of writers a dedicated space in our favorite community. Leadership of the chapter was passed to Strixxline shortly before this renaissance kicked off and, now that there is more light on chapters, they are working to put plans and ideas in motion for chapter projects and collaborations — starting with this world!What We're Up To
Starting this year, we'll be featuring our chapter members as we participate in big events in the community! Fostering a Safe & Productive Space
We aim to create a space where members feel supported and connected, and can share their successes and struggles alike without fear of judgement. The chapter periodically opens and closes for new members, shutting its doors temporarily as new members settle in with the group. Whether we are open or closed, you are more than welcome to reach out to talk about the chapter and what we do, and request a follow-up when the chapter opens up again if you find we're a good fit for you!Who We Seek
Seven Tomes seeks worldbuilders who share our love of the fantasy genre, and are eager to make connections with more fantasy creators. If your goal is to make new friends and build each other up to grow as creators together, you may be a perfect fit! We're a den of nerds who are passionate about our work... and we want to learn more about yours, too! We seek members who love to be involved in their communities and are eager to shine spotlights on the things that inspire them. As chapters are Discord-centric communities, you should be familiar with, and fairly active in, the WorldAnvil Discord server. We strongly encourage participating in WorldAnvil's challenges, but we also support taking breaks from events and challenges to do your own thing.Read the House Rules

Current Leader: Polina "Line" Arteev(Discord username: line) When reaching out, please send a link to your active world(s), and tell us about what your worldbuilding goals are, and why you're interested in the chapter! We will discuss whether or not the Tomes are the right place for you! But really, if you're a lover of fantasy and want a community to share that passion with, you're more than likely welcome here! The chapter will deliberate together on new aspiring members to make sure that everyone is comfortable with new additions to the group.
