Grand Duchy of Orenil
The Grand Duchy of Orenil is a part of the Kingdom of Arborea given as a fief to the Stormwatch House, and for a long time considered outside the kingdom proper.
This separation, unlike that of the Duchy of Unduraz, did not occur due to clashes or quarrels between ruling houses, but for the opposite reason; the disinterest of the Council and the other elven Houses.
Historically, House Stormwatch has always been the most open to trade and to welcome non-elves among its population, with the passage of time it has indeed become the refuge of the oppressed and dispossessed.
This opening to the outside has always been frowned upon by the rest of the Houses, especially by the more isolationist ones. The point of no return was reached in 489 NE, when Grand Duke Deril'kil Stormwatch married a human woman, the sorceress known as Khemmia the Lifegiver. Only representatives of the Council and House Illynor attended the wedding.
The birth of their first son Elsinor was celebrated by all the people of Orenil with a whole year of festivities, but only the Illynor House participated and sent gifts for the birth, this time the Council was also absent.
Subsequently, the Grand Duchy was always "forgotten" by the Council and the Reigning House, to the point of being considered outside the kingdom. Over time Elsinor became Grand Duke with the name of Elsinor I and extended the benevolence of his father to recognize noble and military titles regardless of race.
A large number of inhabitants of the main races currently reside in the grand duchy, as well as Garowian Leonid, Ki Spirit People, Cheara Felines and Satiraxys Satyr. The armed forces of the Grand Duchy are among the most varied in the world of Valenor, and often among the most effective.
Culture
Eghrym III, Grand Duke from 984 to 1012 was the first ruler to exempt his people from paying taxes. In fact, the grand duchy is maintained exclusively by taxes on trade. Obviously this is only possible due to the fact that the Grand Duchy is the preferred port of call for all those who want to buy and sell Elven goods without subjecting to the limitations of historical Elven isolationism.
The flow of elven goods to Orenil is managed by Arborean, House Illynor and has earned the house very substantial profits, making it the richest house in all of Arborea.
Over time, the tax exemption has attracted many wealthy people and increased trade in the grand duchy even more.
Recently Queen Adora Flori of Arborea has opened some route into Arborea to the Merchant League, if this opening of the elven lands to the outside continues, both House Illynor and obviously the Grand Duchy of Orenil will lose some or all of their profitable trade.

Military
The Grand Duchy Army is also known as the Blazing Suns. They are named after the elite forces of the Knights of the Blazing Suns who usually lead them into battle.
The other "Garowian Leonid Nation" also lives in the Grand Duchy of Orenil, which has a structure similar to that of the Bodrumstan Garowian, but with references to a more purely feudal system (Baronies) and who answers to the Grand Duke of Orenil. Their soldiers are more framed within military facilities that do not involve raiding neighbors as a form of training.
