Of all of King Henryk vassals, Duke Garland is his most ardent supporter. Duke Garland is the king's father-in-law and the grandfather to the crown prince.
Duke Garland’s top priority is to defend the nation against Swynfaredian aggression. He is trying to save a nest egg of emergency funds and he’s vigorously drilling his soldiers. He feels guilty about leaving the north high and dry, but he rationalizes that this is a reasonable action given the circumstances.
He is so fixated on his daughter, the queen, that he has neglected his other children to an extent figuring that they are adults that can take of themselves though they all grew up to be brats.
Lord Bohdan is his eldest son and heir. Lord Tacticus is his third child, and his youngest (and probably worst) child is Lady Felicja.
