Phanlurien
This village is located in the grassy meadows between the Rhiamreadh Woods and the Brileche (aka. Icespire) Mountains. Winds coming off the mountains keep the fields cool, ranging in climate from mild summers to very chilling winters. Phanlurien is smaller settlement, with most structures made roughly from stone, wood, and thatch. It's surrounded by large farm fields with the village mines towards the south and the townmaster's mansion in its northeast corner.
The rich minerals found in the area's soils support the large fields of wheat and tubers that make up Phanlurien's primary commerce, as well as cattle and chickens. The system of caves nearby the village yield tough stone, good for building, and a few small deposits of valuable quartz. Most of these goods are sold off to its parent city, Rhiamreadh, for use there or further trading elsewhere.
Phanlurien began as a significant mining outpost when caves of abudant quartz where discovered. Once most of the quartz hand been harvested, the town was largely abandoned. However, many of its inhabitants turned to farming in the mineral rich open fields, and it has gained a steady resident population. The village suffered several attacks from a dragon roosting in the nearby mountains until it was killed by a local group of adventurers. Most structures have been rebuilt, but there are still signs of disturbed land left by the dragon.
