Baboushka
Baboushka Vladimira (a.k.a. Baba (To Bogdan and Vasilly))
Baboushka is a changeling who has been magically aged to look like an old woman. She is a wise healer witch, who has a familiar Dweomer Cap called Greeb.

Personal history
Baboushka was brought up in the Sabrelands by her Winter Witch papa, Vladimir. Back then, her name was Vladimira, but she was also called "Malyshka", meaning "little girl". Until she was fifteen, Malyshka lived in the Zimavedma Clan with her father. Following in her father's footsteps, she too became a witch, but subtly influenced by her night hag mother, who Baboushka didn't know, she began following the teaching of nightmares, with her mother's hag coven as her patron.
In a rage, the night hag sent out a wave of nocturnal power, that cursed Baboushka to old age. Baboushka might have perished then and there were it not for the glowing green and purple mushrooms that grew up from the blastsite. One of the mushrooms was Greeb, who began teaching Baboushka the secrets of the Aurora Borealis.
On her fifteenth birthday, her hag mother came to Claim her. Against her father's advice, Malyshka decided to go with her mother (and witch patron) to join Nightcrystal Coven and delve further into the secrets of nightmares. Although Malyshka went willingly at first, once she realised the horrors of the coven, and what her mother wanted her to do, Malyshka abandoned the coven's patronage and ran away.

The hag mother wanted Malyshka to give herself to the coven and complete the transformation into a night-hag herself through a horrific ritual that involved a journey into night, where Malyshka would mix her blood with the nightmares of a frightened child.

Greeb's nightlight, and the nightlight in the sky from Baboushka's new patron, protect Baboushka from her mother's attempts to infiltrate Baboushka's sleep and fill her nights with terror.
