Boris Mushroomcap is a Fungus Leshy who lives in The Glittering Valley of the Forest of Frost. He claims to be a descendent of the great Captain Borovik, who fought in a historic battle against Tzar Gorokh I of The Pea Kingdom during The War of Mushrooms. He and his mushroom army continued the war with the Tzar's decendant, Tzar Gorokh IV, until he was convinced to end the war by the wise Witch Baboushka.

Motivation
Boris wants be as revered as his ancestor, the great Captain Borovik. Since the Captain Borovik was famed for his war against the The Pea Kingdom, Boris worked to maintain that fight. After Baboushka convinced both him and Tzar Gorokh IV to host a Peas Summit, Boris's goals changed in the hopes that he could go down in history as the great Captain who ended the Mushroom Wars.

With the culmination of the 500-year Mushroom War, Boris Mushroomcap entered into a Peace Agreement with Tzar Gorokh IV of The Pea Kingdom. At the Peas Summit in the neutral valley, the witch Baboushka oversaw a deal where the Pea Kingdom would dwell in the treetops of the Spruce Trees that grow on the valley banks, while The Mushroom Kingdom would inhabit the base of the trees' stumps and roots. Since both sides have an obvious advantage (the Mushroom Kingdom has better access to the nutrient supplies, while the Pea Kingdom holds the higher ground), neither side is willing to attack and reignite the war.

Like almost all Mushroom Leshy, Boris Mushroomcap is pretty certain he is the direct descendant of the great Captain Borovik, who won a historic pyrric victory in his defeat of Tzar Gorokh I during The War of Mushrooms.
