North Web
North Web, a place that was once full of life, beauty and happiness now full of empty buildings and dark shadows. Currently home to around 870 survivors, North Web looks to rebuild from the ground up and become the beacon of hope mankind needs. Most all structures have been destroyed and overgrown over the years, but yet some still stand strong. Most of the population gathers to the west by the bay and even a small local government has been formed.
The population consist of those who farm, those who fix and those who fight. North Web takes their military very seriously and is full of trained killers. Thanks to the previous lifestyles of those who didn't survive, there is a plentiful amount of weapons, ammunition and sharp objects that will get the job done. These supplies compliment the personalities of the survivors who train day and night to defend the man or women to their left and right.
Although there is a small harbor by the bay, there is a lack of sustainable boats to make voyage with. Thankfully, the people of the region get along nice with South Web and accompany them with protection during trade for a percentage of the income and supplies. Not every settlement plays nice though, as Irene's Decoy is one North Web's most hated. They keep the northern bridge on lock, making south the only suitable direction for the survivors.
Demographics
Most of the population is settled on the western end of the area by the bay. Race and ethnicity varies, but everyone in the area looks out for each other. Although most civilians are soldiers, professions range from skilled mechanical engineer to the simple farmer and fisher. The region has their own internal currency to keep trading with one other smooth and fair. Others live throughout the suburbs in the area as they're more of a "all for one" type rather than a "one for all". The district's strong hold, Seaway , is controlled by Gypsy near the main bridge that connects to Irene's Decoy .
Government
A locally run government exist in the populated area of the region. There are many laws that exist to keep the people there safe and friendly. A collective tax of goods goes around for upkeep of the area and to keep social services like schooling and training going. Local authorities are put into place democratically. Those outside of the main social area are not associated with any sort of government.
Defences
A few towers have been built and exist in the populated areas of the region. These towers were made to overlook the bay and to keep a close eye on the bridge in the north.
Industry & Trade
Although North Web does have a decent small harbor, it lacks in stable and efficient boats. Because of this, most of North Web's trading is done in South Web , with North Web acting as protection for the goods South Web has. Unless trading with South Web, all trading is done via water passage since the northern bridge is closed off from Irene's Decoy and the more southern bridge collapsed long ago.
Infrastructure
Before the outbreak, North Web was full of resident houses and convince stores. Most of those structures still exist today, but have become worn down and overgrown. The majority of the population is settled where mansions and a small harbor still stand on the western edge of the bay. Those living there have repaired and converted much of what was destroyed and have built new structures such as training grounds. The small harbor has gone through repair as well and is fully functioning.
Assets
Most of the valuables of North Web come in the form of defense. Those that lived in the area before the outbreak protected their homes heavily with various firearms. Now, those who survive have gathered those firearms and train daily for any future battle that awaits them.
Guilds and Factions
Most of the population lives in the western part of the region by the bay and harbor. Others live near or around Seaway to keep an eye on the rest of the region and it's entrances. Besides these two groups, there are small groups or individuals that still live in the suburbs in the region on their own without any government presence.
History
Before the outbreak, North Web was full of happy citizens living normal lives. There were schools, medical centers, and grocery stores all around with plenty to spare. Although not much needed, most citizens expressed their right to bear arms and kept their house stocked in case of emergency. After the outbreak, most of the structures collapsed and became overgrown over the years. As years progressed, those who survived made it their mission to rebuild society and become a safe haven for all. Loaded with guns, ammo and hope, the survivors of North Web will not go down easy.
Geography
Most of North Web is flat with some slight hills. There are remains of what was once a beautiful park in the northern part of the region. Civilizations often get their water from the bay and boil it into drinkable water. The area is surrounded by water on two sides, both to the west and north. There is one bridge that connects North Web to Irene's Decoy , but is usually blocked off. The more southern bridge collapsed long ago and is no longer usable.
