Kol Kupar

The Kol Kupar is the third largest denomination of the Doric Currency structure, being worth four Kupar. The Kol Kupar is of such a value that is largely used simply as an accounting figure, however, several coins of equivalent value have been minted from a gold and platinum alloy though highly impractical. The purpose of the Kol Kupar was to make accounting easier when determining the tax that the Grand Duke is due from a landowner based upon their wealth. As the common threshold for such land-based tax often referred to those who earned 40 Kupar p/a and multiples thereof for each subsequent bracket, the Kol Kupar as a base of four was a useful measurement for such calculations.
