The Exploding Potion
An extremely new potion shop that has served the local miners in the area and other commoners. This shop went up in flames in 1798 when a freak potion accident set off an explosion. This explosion nearly destroyed the homes around it, and even wounded Pyke, the owner. Pyke now has a scar across their face where a piece of glass cut open their jawline.
Purpose / Function
The original purpose of this shop was to help Pyke make an impact on Dur after their previous family dissolved. They primarily sold cure-all that commoners, especially miners, use to help cure their ailments. The shop itself is extremely successful due to its low prices, though it has been said that some of the cure-all from the shop have caused "drastic side effects".
Design
The potion shop itself looks relatively pristine, and there are only two tables with what looks to be alchemist tools on the desks to the side. At the very end of the shop there is a large metal door that leads further into the shop. Pyke meets all of the customers in a quaint wooden meeting area with the two tables. Sometimes Pyke would take samples if the ailment was particularly deadly, which are then processed using the alchemist tools. Otherwise all work is done behind the metal door.
