Quicky Smithy

This smithy is rarely available to walk into, instead a small window in the front opens and a parchment is handed to the vendor. The vendor then specifies the type of weapon, arms, or armor they want. They are then expected to give their ancestry and rough dimensions. Without dimensions it is said that Doornan will use the average idea he has for that ancestry.

Purpose / Function

This smithy was originally a smaller, less stable smithy that constantly changed hands. In 1790 a merchant, the current owner Doornan, paid to completely revamp the place. Nobody knows much about where Doornan came from but they changed the building to be able to start outfitting soldiers with full plate, chainmail, and longswords with steel shields far faster than anyone else could.

Design

The actual building is relatively simple from the outside, but it is the inside where the magic really happens. Inside there are several forge and quenching stations where apprentices do the "easy" bits of forging the weaponry, and then a novice smith focuses on finishing the items. He has an assembly-line like method set up inside. All orders are then accounted for, boxed, and shipped to the areas that need it.
