Ba’alzamon is a representative of Renedge itself and specializes in large-scale destructive magic. Ba’alzamon’s mother is the conjuration apprentice of Catalus, which means Ba’alzamon is competing with some of the most unfortunate individuals out there in terms of family issues.

Ba'alzamon typically wears a red wizard’s hat and robes the color of a shifting bruise. This is accented by a nice elven cloak. He wields a knobby 6’ staff with crystals on the end.

Personal history

Ba'alzamon was a child soldier, taught to fight as soon as he could throw a spell, and is an expert in warfare. He came from Dominaria in the Magic: the Gathering universe. Whenever he tries to go home, he ends up in the future or the past, as MtG spins weirdly in relation to Renedge.   Once, during a visit to the sunken capital of Indus alongside the Shadows of Existence, Ba’alzamon did a ritual to creat a giant doom laser via a portal that simultaneously led to the Plane of Fire and the Plane of Positive Energy. It was able to easily destroy the similarly giant nightmare wraith construct that was stalking the city, and was subsequently used to scour the city for the construct's asura creators. This incident is representative of both Ba'alzamon's spellcasting power and his favored approach to problems.   Ba'alzamon has been to Castle Fallingstar only twice, both in early 24 ARL. The Order of Oblivion has sent invulnerable assassins after him and his people in the past, and her hates both their remnants and their old home base.

Ba'alzamon is an old friend of the paranoid abjurer Ripley.   Tholl was a half troll, half stone giant who became one of Ba'alzamon's familiars by accident. As a result of various shenanigans, he is now the tree Ba'alzamon is linked to as a dryad. The tree is located in the center of Ba'alzamon's city, Guardia.   An old wizard named Barib is essentially Ba'alzamon's charity project. Barib was pulled into the Horde and trapped there some time ago. He absolutely hates adventuring, but loves researching. Ba'alzamon's goal is to set him up to just research whatever he likes for the rest of his life.

Ba'alzamon has an adopted daughter, who spent some time as an insane undead and then some time as an insane alive person, and then finally as an insane little girl thanks to Alvidarian priests. She is actually the heir to the lands Ba'alzamon was entrusted with. Ba'alzamon has an agreement with her that he'll raise her and make sure she's got a proper education, and then she'll inherit her ancestral lands. She's still a bit stabby. She's about 10 years old, but looks 7. She's a transmutation specialist.

Ba'alzamon created and runs the city of Guardia in Guaradon.

Ba'alzamon owns Ripley's old tower. Ba'alzamon kept it as a shrine to his dead friend for a long time, but now that he knows Ripley is alive, he's planning to turn the tower into a summoning center.
