The primordial source of evil.
As one would expect from his title, Catalus is very powerful. In contrast to it, he is surprisingly helpful and friendly, but one must always consider what he's getting out of it.

Personal history

After a group of nature gods sacrificed themselves to contain Corruption's strike on what would become Blackmoore, Catalus swooped in to suppress the supercharged life there and control and study the area. The horrors of Blackmoore expanded and went out of control after he eventually left, leaving the region to grow into the hyperlethal quarantine zone it is today.
