2021/07/14: Cubit - Knowledge Is Part 4 Report

Continuing their investigations in Noirville, the party made to visit the Sweet Dreams Casino.
The kobolds kidnapped someone the bad guys were kidnapping. She’s a brown-haired woman named Kat Catchall. She was searching the docks for her missing brother, Jimmy, when weird big guys like those sneaking around the docks put her to sleep somehow and bagged her. The big guys smelled like old fish. Her shoes are missing.
Jimmy liked to run off to the docks. He was going through a troubled phase. Lots of fishing and making trouble. ~14 years old.
Sith, Immori, and Keel gained entrance to the Sweet Dreams. After some investigation (and performance on Immori’s part), they found a backdoor that led to an odd passageway with a bunch of runes intended to act as an arcane address to summon Cthulhu (or something similar). They fought some tentacled humanoid monsters.
Kobolds found several chewed skeletons in dumpsters. Look like they’ve been stripped by something with a circular mouth with lots of needle teeth.
Sergeant Ben Wilson, of the local police department, is one of the chewed skeletons.
A group of fat officers on the take showed up to “take us downtown”. We respectfully disagreed. After defeating them, we questioned them. They were sent by “Detective Rudy”. We let the no-longer-possessed officers go, then went to a hardware store to gather weapons for the fight against Rudy on our way to the portal. The light and improvised weapons the setting had provided with our costumes weren't going to cut it.
