Origins

Naqah back in the days, Alicornia did not exist, instead, it was a large number of sophisticated countries that were eventually dominated and annexed by Alicornia. Eventually, Alicornia began enslaving Zorrilians and Zebras, erasing their culture, heritage and history. A process so brutal it united a bunch of tribes into a single tribe, Naqah.   With their original identity erased their identity became Vengeance and retribution against Alicornia. Even though the nation of Alicornia itself has faded, Naqah still pillages and still raids former Alicornian states. This has proved to be highly toxic as anyone who questions the tribe's actions gets exiled from the nation or worse. Naqah makes life for Zebra and Zorrilia abroad more difficult through the sheer number of war crimes and deceptive tactics it employs.   Believing it's fighting colonial interests, it desires to burn all other nations down, even at the expense of its own people. In a lot of ways, Naqah is victimized by a brutal Kleptocracy that prevents Naqah from moving forwards and keeping it hostile to all foreign states for the sake of ultra-enriched Warlords.  

Government

Naqah is ruled by Warlords rather than Tribal Elders like it once was back in the day. These Warlords rule by the rite of conquest and will kill anyone and everyone to keep their power. Their Government is united by a singular cause to destroy colonial powers and install Naqan dominance over the world as part of their revenge. The Warlords pillage each other and smaller tribes and steal from their own populace while masquerading as their protectors.   Even going so far as enslave disobedient Tribes and the 'colonizers' they capture. This makes Naqah an obvious example of kleptocracy in the least subtle terms. The Warlords have no accountability and never explain their thievery and if they do, they'd simply cite the Rite of Conquest.  

Ideology & Function

  Naqah doesn't truly have a coherent ideology outside of just straight-up tribal Warbands running the country like Raiders rather than an actual country. The Lack of sophistication means that unlike the Hunnic or Mongol governments of past eras in the days of Humanity, Naqah is not an organised government. Every government in Naqah is essentially a parasitic war horde that requires more war and more pillaging in order to live.  

Economy

Naqah in terms of civilian life is quite enriched and prosperous however this is done off the backs of Slaves as Slavery is the key engine of wealth and power within the Nation. There is a sizable wealth gap between the Low class and High Class. This is mainly because Naqah's economy is still very far behind and hasn't developed healthily or normally.   In terms of Trade, Elkhiem is their main trading partner but normally have to resort to special means mostly due to massive blockade surrounding both nations which means Naqah is economically isolated from the world market, making development or Multilateralism impossible. The constant sanctions and Blockades only worsen this, so many Naqans are unaware that economies can even be done differently.  

Living Standards

  Most men grow up to become Raiders who serve in the country's military with a permanent slave caste that makes the parasitic Economy function. Even when it comes to smithing or specialized roles the people filling them are soldiers who ride with their hordes rather than running organised Nomadic supply networks like the Huns or Mongols. Because of this when someone gets too old to fight, their son kills them in an honour duel where their body would be burned.   The Son then inherits their Father's wealth and any land they manage to steal away from others outside the Nation's Borders or inside.  

Tributaries and Protection

  When the country is under a wiser warlord, Naqah will depend on victimised nation-states and settlements to give them tribute in order to get protection from the Hordes. However, this isn't always a guarantee because more bloodthirsty Warlords could go back on this deal and sack their victims anyway that or opposing warlords sack the tributaries. Unlike the Huns or Mongols they do not have a unified Horde and fall to infighting and civil war when they get too large.  

Military

Though many believe them to be Tribal, Naqah has one of the most efficient armies in the world, operating with a lower tech level than many of their adversaries they are able to use what they got to maximum effect. Fighting Asymmetric warfare they are able to defeat large armies with fewer troops however they also often have a lot of soldiers and can use the terrain to kill their enemy.   Their tech is patchy as a lot of it is gained by looting meaning some War Bands are more technologically advanced than others and very few warbands actually share with each other without a strong central leader to unify them. They aren't people with sticks running into Machine gun positions, they create diversions and flank or they sabotage and then charge.   Many war bands are well experienced and when enough of them band together they can swiftly turn into a global threat and overrun entire countries with large hordes of fighters and ransack entire Empires.  

Strategy and Doctrine

  Thanks to every man being a fighter, Naqah benefits from large armies at nearly all times however the unity of that army is always in question. When it comes to Doctrine the Military prefers encircling enemy armies and settlements by first bypassing enemy lines and sending mobs to engage the lines and while their busy, surrounding cities and holding them hostage can cripple supply lines.   Sometimes more bloodthirsty hordes actually just raze every city and settlement they find to the ground regardless of the utility which can lead to them burning out faster.   

Recruitment

  Because every man is a fighter, they don't often need to do recruiting with most of the 'recruitment' being slaves being given the opportunity to escape horrific chattel slavery to fight as Slave Fighters and attack their former countries. Often these fighters have family members being held hostage b the Naqans meaning betrayal means the death of their family and loved ones, keeping them committed to the cause even if their attacking the country they were born in.
