The Republic of Anthros
The Republic of Anthros was a provisional government established after the 1st Equestrian Civil War and became more legitimate and official after various internal civil wars and secession disasters. By 722 AD, Anthros became a fully stable state and one of the main bulwarks against Naqan expansion and making use of the defences of the The Anthros Divide to ward of invasion.
In 734, Anthros Adopted a Conditional, Monarchy with a Parliamentary System, stepping away from the usual system Lexan Countries tend to have but maintaining the Constitutional protections over rights and democracy. This change was done by Referendum after The Republic of Lexer released various controls it had over Anthros.
Over the years Anthros became wealthy as one of the States Southern Merchants travel along to get to Equestria, building its own economy, military, banking institutions, and more to make Anthros a very successful state. In 862 AD, The King's Position was downgraded from a secondary ruler to a more ceremonial figurehead role with the High Minister Rank rising in power and significance. While this did occur, the Monarch maintained the all-important role in Geopolitics, working with the foreign office in order to maintain Relations with other Monarchies and prevent ideology from dragging Anthros into wars it doesn't desire.
By 1342 AD, Anthros was fully established with a settled role in the Alliance of Nations it finds itself in. Anthros took a more active role in Military conflicts, going on offensives against Naqah and occasionally getting in Naval spats with Zintamia and The Kingdom of Kalindor an entire continent away.
Since then, Anthros has been going through periods of internal turmoil, and crime waves, but also times of economic success, Political mastery and great times of strength leading up to King Corenlius Aurran Pridewyn the Second of the Pridewyn Dynasty who has taken a leading role in confronting the The Yorta Corporation and Clan Suukaaku in various skirmishes.
He also has been quite dedicated to the defence of his neighbours, asking High Minister Adellia Wyndal to send troops to defend Kingdom of Tolvana. Anthros is preparing for war, knowing that Lexer and its allies face threats from every direction and are waiting for the chance to strike.
This is a Conservative, Right Leaning party and is in hot contest with the League of Dovera which is the Left-Leaning party. They usually float around 433 Seats to 577 seats per election and have had a fairly successful run in previous years but the party has had declining Voter Turnout and less appeal with youths, leading to a staggering 345 Seats by 4478. The lowest number of seats ever held by the Consortium.

The Left Leaning party and one that has been pretty determined to once again abolish the Monarchy and restore Anthros as a true republic. They have been having larger voter turnout since 4420, and gained a staggering 532 seats in the 4490 elections, marking the biggest majority that the league has ever had. High Minister Adellia Wyndal is a member of this league and had the highest vote count Anthros has ever had. 3. The Circle of Moons
A Minority Party, a more left-wing Faction that pushes the League forwards and is a party that openly swears Loyalty to the cause of the old New Lunar Republic from the Civil War. They don't hold many seats but do have a small grouping of like-minded guild owners who pay big money into the league. 4. Castellosian League An exiled Nationalist Party, they revolted against the Government when the Monarchy was knocked down a peg, however, the Monarchy didn't follow them into revolt leaving the Castellosian league to be an isolated Insurgency in the Castellos Range. They have no seats left in Parliament and can no longer run for Public office forever.
Government
The Country still has a King and Queen but the actual authority lies with Parliament whose election cycles happen every 4 years. The Government is broken up into various Lodges that has a selection of Offices each that run different things. The Actual Parliament is not always a giant meeting of the entire group but often lodge leaders speaking to each other about the issues that concern them and working out policy and decisions to take for the country.High Minister
The High Minister is pretty much the overall leader and representative of the Country, working in tandem with the Monarch. While the Monarch works with other rulers, the Minister is concerned with Mayors, Presidents, and like wise. The Minister has a term of 8 years and is able to serve only two terms. They also are accountable to Parliament and can terminate a High minster's tenure with a vote of no confidence.Parliament & Elections
Each lower-level Minister gets elected or re-elected every 4 years, when it comes to lodges the minister in question runs as a Minister in the lodge rather than being selected or opting in. Meaning that parliaments tend to be very large and filled with groups of people working on specific agendas, most of all if they have multiple goals at once they wish to achieve that term. Law Enforcement
Anthros are guarded by Sentinels who serve at the behest of the Lodge of Judgements which serves as the judiciary arm of the Government. Parliament decides the law and the courts interpret it. Judges handle various crimes all sorts but the King can be present in high-level cases and with the permission of Parliament, alter the course of a trial based on certain circumstances. The Sentinels are the common Guards in each Anthite City and location, they are militaristic police forces who provide a service for the country, often being separated into different divisions meant for different tasks. The Transport Division for instance is concerned with the security of trade routes and roads as well as the transport of people and their safety.Military
Anthros has its own Military much like the Republic of Westfall. The Anthite Legions are a continuation of the Cabrallian Military in many forms. The Primary Troops are the Hoplites, Shield Wardens, Magi and Hippeis Calvary. The Military also has its own Navy using a lot of Corvettes, Frigates and Galleys as well as Airships. Anthite soldiers are known to be some of the best formation fighters in the South. They do use the ever-famous Phalnax but also use reinvented versions of Roman spear formations and also make use of Pike infantry in ways similar to Late medieval armies, utilizing cavalry and firearms.Doctrine
Anthros prefers Static Defenses and high use of Calvary. Though they have sword Infantry, most Anthite soldiers are either spear users first or ranged units. Anthite Legionaries are also not using the Hoplite shield unless in situations where the situation demands it, and normally Hoplite shields continue to use through the Calvary. Rather, the Infantry prefers to use the Scutum and Kite shields thanks to their superior protection regarding the Scutum or the lighter eight when using Kite Shields. Anthites also value their shields, often giving them personalised deco and paintings as well as personalised Runes. Mages are more limited than most of their neighbours due to a lack of users but Magi are highly valued and elite units who cast spells and conjure golems and familiars. Shielding formations from artillery and teleporting small formations or loads of equipment via portal. Easily the most Offensive element of the Anthite Military is its navy which makes wide use of Riflemen, sword infantry and Navy pikes. Their ships are light and small, sailing at blistering speed and ramming the enemy before finally boarding them. In case they needed firepower, The Anthite Frigate was always the answer. Airships were also quite fast and light, using similar setups but with 3 times the Artillery firepower, providing mobile artillery. Uniquely, Anthros never cast aside the Trebutchet and invented the Anthite Treb, which was still a wooden and cheap contraption but could sling up to three explosive canisters at once and accurately hit targets when using one sling and provide firepower saturation on targets. Radios revolutionised this technology for them, allowing them to deploy their Trebs more adequately. In case they needed firepower, the Anthites used the Hellscream Cannons, which were giant Cannons that fired large balls onto targets and were capable of blasting through solid rock after 3 or so volleys. When it came to ranged options, Anthites make use of 4 main Ranged weapons, Bolt Action Rifles for line formations, Javelins for Close quarters Skrimishers, and Enchanted Long Bows for sieges and long-range engagements. They also make use of Crossbows for pure penetration against heavily armoured targets and against Industrial Golems which are magical golems made out of metal and using a lot of Magi Tech. In terms f Golems, the military prefers traditional rock-based golems with heavy reliance on spells rather then Magi-tech.Creating and Maintaining Armies
Unlike the Ancient Greeks, the Anthites are not limited by harvest seasons, rather the War Lodge authorises the creation or the boosting of an existing legion and an additional 10,000 soldiers are recruited. legions also get reinforced constantly with smaller waves of recruits. These were career soldiers who made a profit in war and empowered their families back home and raising their prestige. Each Legion serves a specific purpose, dedicated to a select few duties and areas to make sure that Anthros always has at least one army ready for that environment or area. Soldiers are normally raised locally. Another source of recruits is the Foreign Regiments which are sections in each legion that invite foreigners to fight for Anthros in return for gaining citizenship and or a new place for their family. By 4490, there are 34 Active Legions with at least 10,000 members each, about 14 Legions are posted on Home Borders while the rest are deployed elsewhere. In order to keep these Legions reinforced, extended Tours with high casualties may see the Foreign Regiments rapidly grow in number. It is important to note that the Anthros government often works out deals with foreign governments for Dual citizenships rather than exclusive citizenships as it boosts recruitment numbers in foreign lands if the soldier is aware they are not sacrificing their place in their home country. The Army is purely professional so they make no use of Penal Legions or any form of Slave labour, that having been fully outlawed by 605 AD during early Military reforms.Economy & Living Standards
One of the biggest weaknesses of Caballria was the lack of Magical goods and lack of Alchemical advancements which knee capped the development of the country and military. Anthros immediately been trying to fix this and spent the better part of centuries building up their economy and spreading their connections across Southern Equus. The Anthros Divide has large water reserves and the country makes use of this, creating large Water purification systems with big dams and exporting the water to adjacent Water parched countries like Republic of Westfall & The Republic of Lexer making Anthros a vital part of the Southern Economic Ecosystem. The Discovery of Oil on their land was also a huge boon, as the 'Black Boom' was them ain engine to drive the rapid expansion of virtually every industry in the country. Converting a minor Regional power into a major regional partner is no small feat but one they were determined to do. One big thing that the Lexer and Westfall lack is major forests, limiting their Lumber prospects and Anthros Economist monopolised on this, purposefully converting now useless agricultural land back into massive pine woods, these pines could be cut down and swiftly regrown, meaning a lucrative logging business could begin. This is all part of the effort to boost The Resource Based Economy, but rather than focusing on one Industry. Anthros decided to be the Filler of gaps, filling any need other nations simply could not fill. Thanks to the lucrative Ore and Aura Crystal production in Lexer, Anthros could focus on making their own brand of magical Golems, weapons and equipment all the while paying nothing into the development of civilian and commercial tech and goods, as they could simply buy that from Lexer itself. One vital Industry for Anthros is the Cotton & Hemp Industries and by far have the widest reaches due to the sheer output of those resources and the unique position.Trade Prime Real Estate
The very location of Anthros is perfect, with Lexer depending on its Soft Expansions into the Badlands and the links to Tapira & Alpacan. The economy before the War was very specific towards The Big Three Equine Ethnicities, Earth Ponies, Unicorns and Pegasi and after the War, this was determined to change.
