Hearths Warming Eve

Introduction

One of the world most wide spread traditions in the world, it is not easy to miss the clear references to Old World Christmas in the holiday. Hearths Warming is more based around family and giving with no real correlation to specific church with multiple hosting their own celebrations to their separate followers. It's normally done on the 25th of December but in some countries like Equestria, it lasts from 25th of December to 1st of January next year with many festivals and traditions done over that period of time.

History

The holiday started sometime after the era of ash and is inspired by a rewritten version of events that pre-dated the foundation of Equestria. Namely it's the story of Unification, the 3 tribes of Equestria's unifications to be exact. This is Ponyville (Earth Ponies), Mistral (Unicorns) and Cloudsdale (Pegasi). Though the tale is false, it tells a story of peaceful cooperation and Collaboration in times of strife.    In reality Celestia, Luna and  a Band of Guardians got together and intervened in a incoming war and was forced to defeat the 3 Great settlements and forced them to join a Federation that would eventually fully form into the Equestrian Empire.  Outside of Equestria, many nations adopted the tale to their own National legends and Ethos, telling a story of their own national foundation.   All coming together in the Darkest Age of the World yet, to form all of the nations we know of today.
