Ecosystem
The Guild Islands are all volcanic in nature. Some of the volcanos are still active and erupt form time to time. The most populated islands tend to have dormant volcanos but do suffer from quakes from time to time.
The islands range from the rocky scrublands of North Island to the dense forests of Yenisle.
Rainfall is frequent at the end of autumn and into winter. It can get quite warm in summer with temperatures reaching in the 90s with high humidity.
Localized Phenomena
There are coral reefs surrounding many of the islands, requiring a skilled and knowledgeable navigator to sail between the various isles.
Spring can be especially dangerous with heavy fogs blocking out all navigational aids, relying on the talent of the navigator and experience of the crew.
Volcanos erupts are frequent on certain isles and can cause navigational hazards.
Tourism
Tourism is not discouraged, but it is considered a necessity that must be endured. The Confederation of Ithan asks tourists to focus their explorations to the city of Harborton on Trader’s Isle. This is essentially considered the best shopping in this hemisphere.
Travel to the other islands is unofficially restricted to voyages for trade or travel between the guild islands only.
