The Fellhorn Crusades
"They are only barbarians, m'lord. They shall hold no force to oppose us.."Hailed as possibly the grandest mistake that the Kirchwal empire has ever made, the Fellhorn Crusades lasted less than a month and cost thousands of soldiers their lives.

Events
The Crusades started with the decision by the Crest to inhabit the island of the Wild Enclave that sits north of the capital of Siren's Port. After the initial deployment was sent to the Wild Enclave, the Crest kept in contact with the ships with a series of sending stone, ensuring that they would know of their success or demise as quickly as possible. Though there was minor storm damage inflicted en route to the Wild Enclave, the deployment arrived mostly intact. Upon arrival, they found their landing spot unoccupied and set upon to begin construction of barracks and defensive positions to ensure that the landing site would remain intact for other deployments. Merely a week after their arrival, the would-be crusaders were fired upon by an unseen enemy, with arrows raining from the skies. Only moments after the arrows struck the deployment did their new enemy come storming through their palisade. The so-called barbarians of the Wild Enclave made swift work of the crusaders, leaving none alive. A secondary deployment made landfall not two days after the massacre of their initial forces, and upon discovery of this, relayed the fate of those men to the Crest. However, before they could make an attempt to leave the Enclave, they too were struck down by the Kel'ur'ni. After days of no updates from the forces, the Crest decided against staging another force. They announced the deaths of the thousands of men they had sent to the Wild Enclave and declared that none shall set foot on those lands again on pain of death.
Several hundred killed several thousand? Yikes. What were the numbers like? Low thousands, high hundred, or..?

A good estimate from some of the advisors to the Crest would say upwards of eight hundred Plainsriders defeated over five thousand Kirchwal soldiers.
