General Description

Located about an hour’s walk from the edge of town, through newly constructed farmland. On the crest of a hill, overlooks the town. The property borders the cliffside, although the castle itself is pretty safely inland. The East wing overlooks the river, the West overlooks the cliffs and lighthouse, the North the town, and the South mostly forest.   It’s the oldest structure in this area, although its numerous and extravagant additions make it very unique. The core of it is a modest redwood cabin, built by Iverfort himself (with the help of laborers, of course) while first exploring the potential of the area. Stone guard towers sit at the front corners of the cabin, and a large central tower juts out from the roof.

The North Wing

For guests and entertainment

The central spoke of the estate. Log-cabin style, redwood, looks much like The Lodge. Tall windows with ochre curtains. Single story, but with 12’ ceilings. Rustic yet somehow also opulent.

The main entrance of the building is made of redwood, but is much less opulent than the intricate East Wing. Large double doors serve as the entrance to the log cabin-style wing. It would look very similar to The Lodge, in fact, if it weren’t for the East and West Wings which dwarf the single-story central wing. The central building was converted from a plain (but large) cabin into the audience chamber, the Baron’s public office, a dining hall and other more public sections of the building. The East and West Wings are private living quarters, and the South Wing is where the kitchens, servants quarters, and other such spaces exist.

  • Grand Hall
Decorated with tawny oranges and violet filigree. The crest of the Iverfort barony, a barrel with a sickle and an axe crossed in the background, is emblazoned on banners that run down the walls of the hall.
A plush carpet centered down the hall spans 40 feet before ending in a modest dias. An empty sitting chair of polished redwood and buff leather with small metallic wheels sits next to a writing desk.
In front of the dias, a rectangular table has been set up. There is a place setting with each of your names and a scroll filled with small, neat writing at each seat.
  • Parlor
  • Office
  • Dining Room
  • Smoking Room (with cellar access)

Cellar

Accessible from the kitchen and the smoking room. Houses stores of wine, beer, spirits, tobacco and other herbs, and preserved meats. It also boasts an icebox.

The East Wing

The east wing of the castle is built in the Chelu-kaan style, made from shining polished redwood with boldly carved pillars at the corners. A large bay window with a cushioned seat covered with blankets is visible from the exterior.

Built from expertly tooled and laquered redwood. Massive pillars with geometric carvings are spaced along the long ends. A bay window. The first floor is strictly Altunka's domain, and the first floor is reserved for Klaus.

The West Wing

Private rooms

Ivan’s primary bedchambers are on the first floor. The ground floor is private rooms.
  • Library (bay windows)
The library is at the end of the hall across from the Solar. The door is slightly ajar. Inside, the room is much taller than the first floor – bookshelves line the walls and stretch up for two stories. A lightweight tooled metal ladder (of Chelu-kaan make Chelu-kaan forges are enriched with minerals from Lient’roc mines and bear flecks of green and opalescent white within) rests in the corner.
Floor lamps made from a block of piter with interchangeable exteriors that make the light dimmer, green-tinted, more directed, or “off” sit beside a copse of leather reading chairs.
  • Armory
  • Guard Quarters
  • Solar

The South Wing

  • Kitchen (cellar access)
  • Laundry
  • Servants’ Quarters
  • U-shaped due to protuberance of the Great Hall
