    Purpose

    Speculation is not really a full time occupation. Through often informed guesses or perceived patterns, speculants effectively place bets on the performance or successful delivery on a group of products; rather than on obtaining percentage ownership.

    Social Status

    PCs can attempt to influence stock prices through skill checks or adventuring actions that include sabotage, advertising or political maneuvering.  
    • DC 15 Persuasion (CHA) Check: To manipulate public perception to encourage others to buy or sell stocks.
    • DC 15 Deception (CHA) Check: To spread rumors or false information about a rival company.
    • DC 14 Insight (WIS) Check: To gauge the best time to buy or sell stocks based on market trends.
    • DC 12 Investigation (INT) Check: To uncover insider knowledge about a company’s dealings.
    • DC 16 History (INT) Check: To manipulate a niche market or enhance the production of a specialized business.
      The outcome of these actions can shift the stock value by a predetermined amount.
