Acceleration Fluid

Acceleration fluid is a smart viscosity-changing superliquid created to quickly arrest sudden changes in acceleration during violent ship maneuvers in Saudha Samudra.

Utility

Large organisms would use it by flooding the interior of their ship(s), like normal water, and breathing it in. The substance is oxygenated so that it can filter through living bodies without disturbing biotic functions, but still conform to internal organs during force triggers to prevent internal ruptures.   However, even when working exactly as intended, there are a myriad of situational issue that frequently occur:
  1. It takes an extremely long amount of time to decompress and sufficiently cleanse the body of the fluid
  2. There is no guarantee that foreign contaminants would not also be swimming in the solution with clients
  3. Users frequently complain of difficulty moving; felling as though they deep under an ocean
  4. During combat conditions, it is easier for the shockwaves of missed hits to verberate throughout the ship dealing double damage to its crew

Social Impact

Gammians are really the only Transmigrants to widely adopt the technology. Being brains in jars, they mix in the acceleration compounds with their normal nutritional fluids for a cost effective solution to reduce brain injury.   Also, being just a brain, it takes considerably less time to flush it out their system. Certain electrolytic concoctions also have the effect of preserving and enhancing their neural connections.
