Despite never needing official employment, Castor is expected to fulfill his "spare" noble duties, which include promoting House Stargazer's interests in knowledge and research and regularly attending court. While he is adept at the astrological studies he undertakes at his brother's observatory, Castor struggles with the social expectations of nobility.
When Castor and Hugo were dating, they helped each other navigate the tangled diplomatic web of the second court, covering up for each other's slips. However, since being forbidden from interacting with Hugo, Castor prefers to keep a low profile, generally keeping his head down and talking little.

Mental Trauma

When his illicit relationship with Hugo Dargent was discovered, the pair were severely tortured by Viziera Guinevera Dargent (before receiving official punishments from their respective families). Castor still has nightmares about Viziera Dargent, and has found it difficult to cry since then.

Stargazing: Castor spends much of his free time in his brother's Observatory, often losing track of time, much to the infuration of everyone. He taught himself an entire system of astrology which included both the Eight sanctioned constellations and the forbidden Survivor Stars. His star charts cheer him up when he feels sad, and he feels safest anywhere he can be alone with the stars.

History

Although their marriage was conducted under unpleasant circumstances, both Castor and Cassiopeia are very sweet to each other. Castor may not feel any romantic attraction towards his wife, and neither are interested in the other sexually, but they are good friends and love each other. History

For two years, the teen "spare" sons of the Dargent and Stargazer households were engaged in a secret relationship. When they were discovered, it caused a scandal in court, and severely damaged the diplomatic relations between their two houses.
Castor Stargazer was rushed into a marriage with the half-orc Subvizier of the Greentusk Family, while Hugo Dargent's older brother, Victor, was forced to marry the Subvizier of the Laureat Family in Hugo's stead.
