Appearance

Mip Glipblog is an 18 year old Brugen. She has white plumage, a large yellow beak and bright keen eyes. She has two legs with thin legs and webbed feet, a feathered torso and two feathered arms.
She has a penchant for hats and enjoys trying out different styles. Much to the frustration of her parents, she prefers a more masculine style of dress, refusing to wear pastel colours with frills and florals that are popular with women.

Gender & Sexuality

Despite her preference for masculine clothes, she strongly identifies as female and will push back angrily against anyone who questions her gender.
She has a very low sex drive and if she had the words for it she would probably describe herself as asexual pan-romantic. But as she doesn't she sticks with the phrase "not interested".

Mip Glipblog was hatched and raised on the Eider River in the small village of Quackerly Green on Unity along with her 11 nestmates. She, unlike most Brugen, longed for action and adventure which scandalised many of the more reserved residents of the village. She would often persuade her nestmates to join her in her acts of defiance and started something of a war with the Quackerly Green Preservation Society by painting the fence in front of the post office the wrong shade of blue.
After years of escalation and a memorable argument on the village green with the formidable Lady Mip, with whom she frustratingly shared a syllable, Mip Glipblog decided to take life, and adventure into her own hands. 10 days later she was boarding the Flight K7ZZ9-6BG51, ready for her real adventure to begin.

Personality

How She Sees Herself

Mip Glipblog sees herself as different from other Brugen and worries that she'll never truly fit in on Unity. She wants to find her place in the universe and searches for it daily.
She knows she is not good at keeping her beak closed and often words fly out without her entirely meaning them too. She wants to be able to go back to her family with a story to tell.

How Others See Her

While other Brugen sees her as being very different from most of them, with no desire to create art or philosophise, those beyond the planet's orbit can see that Mip Glipblog is actually a deep thinker.
She may have waited until she was almost middle-aged to take on this adventure, but there is no doubt that she will face whatever the universe throws at her head-on and will come out all the better for it. She is wise and thoughtful and has a strength few others possess. Most don't notice her self-doubt, mistaking it for bravery.

Motivations & Ambitions

Mip Glipblog was only a chick when she first heard about the people who came from beyond the stars, the Peacekeepers. The idea lit her sense of wonder inside her which made her feel that there was something more waiting for her to discover it. She has ambitions to see the world beyond what she was born to and knows that while she may not be the first to discover anything, she may be the first to take her experiences back home.
Unlike many female Brugen she doesn't have any desire to have children and the thought of settling down or living forever in a village like Quackerly Green makes her uneasy. She doesn't have much in the way of motherly instinct. She is able to connect with others but struggles with people who she considers too emotional or too self-analytical.

Quirks

She named herself Space Traveller the day before she boarded the spaceship, Flight K7ZZ9-6BG51. Previously she was had chosen Creative as her title, even though she struggled to sit still long enough to create anything that was recognisably art. Her nestmates joked that she was Creative in her rulebreaking.
Despite her age, she still encourages her nestmatest to play hide-and-seek with her on their hatchday every year. She's not good at it but enjoys the challenge of it.
