Korska

Korska is a harsh and hostile country located to the east of Sarska. The Turron Mountains surrounds Korska on 3 of its borders: northern, eastern, and western. The mountain range creates the natural borders of Korska, and isolates the country from the other countries of Ostara   The land has a strong people who are extremely resilient and hardy. Their cities are built of large stones carved out of or built atop the surrounding craggy land. Water is highly valued and given a large amount of respect by the people.    *The culture of the land bears an Aztec/Egyptian/middle-eastern theme of architecture and clothing.

Geography

Korska is a smaller and very harsh country. Korska is an arid, mountainous, and craggy land. The majority of the land is mostly desert with craggy steppes and deep valleys. These few water sources are highly valued, fortified, and defended by the kingdom of the land.

Localized Phenomena

Fauna & Flora

Korska is home to many dangerous flora and fauna.   Some examples of the harsh and dangerous creatures are large tick like creatures the size of dogs, they hide in the desert floor with their massive pincer shaped jaws open and "primed", ready to snap shut on the poor creature who steps too close.

Natural Resources

The land is rich in iron, copper, and many other metals but its harsh environment has kept many people aside from its residents from exploiting the land.

History

Korska has remained independent for nearly all of its history in Ostara, a feat no other nation can claim. Part of this is due to its location. On the north, east, and west is the harsh jungles of Sarska and on the south is the ocean with many of Korska's larger and well defended cities.
