Ashlands

The Ashlands is a massive desert of ash located in the southwestern region of the country Korska. A terrifying phenomena that is isolated and contained by a powerful wind storm, the powerful and consistent winds fully encircle the affected area. The ash that give this area its name come from several active volcanoes located within the torrents of wind. Rumors say there is an Eye of the Storm section within the Ashlands that is habitable. Full of extremely strange and unique fauna and flora that have adapted to the ashlands. Some rumors even say there a nomadic tribes that reside within the eye as well.

Geography

A large desert like landscape covered in ash. Roughly 100 miles across, it is mostly flat with 10-20 foot ash dunes. A large lonely mountain sits in the center of the Ashlands.

Fauna & Flora

Strange and otherworldly flora and fauna run rampant within the Ashlands, very little is known as few people have been willing to thoroughly explore the harsh and desolate wasteland. Legends claim some of the flora from there has special medical properties but little is known for sure.

History

The Ashlands are believed to have come to fruition sometime during the BCE (Battling Clans Era) or before. There are ancient stories of it existing but only from mankind's legends, no legends from the Jotunns.
