Sarska

Sarska is a country located in the southern region of Ostara. Sarska is large and cut off from the rest of the continent on its northern border by 2 massive rivers stemming from the Great Lake Ciel. Sarska is bordered on it eastern side by the Turron Mountains, which forms Sarska's border with Korska. To the northeast of Sarska lies the Bay of Meriscum which it uses often in its trade routes.
Sarska is home to one of the Great Colleges, Kavala. Sarska also contains the third largest port city in Ostara, Messina.
It is a hot and humid land of dense tropical jungle. Most of the major cities are located on the western or northern sections of the country, closer to the many rivers used for trade. 
The dense jungle conceals the many large stone cities built and carved into the landscape.
Sarska is hardy land with a culture emphasizing in personal responsibility and the ability to endure.

History

Elrik, a lowly peasant, successfully performed a coup of the reigning monarchy in the year of 2235 2E. Elrik reigned for about 15 years before setting his conquests on the rest of the continent. His conquest and desire for power led to the War of Horrors, a terrible and horrific war that lasted 80 years and caused the death of millions. This event is the single largest mark of shame on Sarska, who at went point thought to change their name to differentiate themselves. This was decided against and rather they hold on to their name as a symbol of penance and a reminder to not let it happen again. Since the end of the War of Horrors, Sarska has been a mostly peaceful land no more corrupt than any other nation most of the time.
