Brachymura

Brachymura are terrifying creatures that reside within the moist, humid jungles of Sarska. The entirety of their body is covered in a strong and dense black to grayish exoskeleton. The core of their body is round and bulbous shaped. They are quadrupeds, walking on four of their 6 limbs. They have 2 legs in the back and 2 legs in the front with their joints facing away from their body on both. Aside from the four legs they have 2 small appendages that stick out the front of their body which can deliver a strong neurotoxin. All 6 of their limbs are extremely sharp and dangerous.
Brachymuras are ambush predators. They use the strong muscles in their body and pointed limbs to easily climb up trees or rocks where they will then lie in wait. Brachymuras do not have eyes but instead have a series of pits, small holes in their exoskeleton that connect to special organs which connect to nerves in their brain. These organs are extremely sensitive to the thermal radiation, thus they effectively give the brachymuras thermal vision in area around them up to 50 feet. 
Once a brachymura senses a creature pass by underneath it, it will detach itself and land on the unaware prey. Latching on harshly, the brachymura will drive its 6 limbs into the creature, delivering its potent neurotoxin at the same time. Then depending on the size of the creature the brachymura will either stay latched on and continue to repeatedly stab its prey or it will detach and scurry off into the woods where it will hide and stalk its now confused and dying prey.
