History

The Kurdekah Clan was one of the most powerful and feared clans in Sarska during the first and most of the second era. The disturbing nature of the manus caused many of the local families to believe them to be part demon, as such they were harshly shunned and met with hostility. Those outside the clan referred to the clan as whole as the "Iblikah" and individuals as "Iblikahn" roughly meaning Demon-Kin in the old tongue.   Ostracized from most of society the Kurdekah lived in isolation before one of their clan leader, Ramir Korrin, rallied them together. Ramir promised to take the lands they desired in the western region of Sarska and to wipe out all those who shamed and cursed the clan. Word quickly spread of the "Iblikah" tore through vilage after village, carving a path through western Sarska. The remaining villages all banded together with magi of their own and met the Kurdekah clan head on in one large battle. The fallout of the battle resulted in the Kurdekah beaten, severely weakened and despised. The Kurdekah shamefully retreated back into the heart of eastern Sarska, far past the Torrun Mountains.   There they would reside and prosper to the best of their ability. As the clan recovered their strength they honed their skills both in manus and combat. The shamans then had a revelation. They began to believe that the purpose in life is to suffer and to continue living on despite it. They believed they had been sent into the heartland of western Sarska because it was such a harsh and inhospitable land. and they believed they had been given their manus because it was as harsh and painful too. It allowed them to thrive in a land few others could hope to.   They trained and became adept warriors, focused on stealth and assassination, both very necessary against the large and dangerous predators of Eastern Sarska. Eventually sometime around 1400 2E word spread and reached Sarska and Tressant of a clan of expertly skilled assassins and warriors living deep within the badlands. Word than spread even quicker and over the next 5-10 years legends and stories spread of the clan. This garnered them much attention and coin from those who needed certain people assassinated.
