The Kingdom of Mourningfell
Home to a portal to the Shadowfell and largest temple to The Raven Queen it is the smallest and oldest kingdom on the continent of Fellmoore and has outlasted the onslaught of terrible winters and roving bands of goliaths.

Government
The kingdom is run by a feudalist monarchy, with a king at the top and a small council called the Wings that help them with the day-to-day decisions. The land-owning lords and ladies of the land oversee their areas and enforce the laws laid out by the capitol. A recent change to the country's charter was made by its current leader King Than II who's firstborn was a daughter; it stated that the eldest child and not the son will inherit all titles of their parent.

History
The Kingdom of Mourningfell was founded by Oreb of House Mourningfell, first of his name, champion of the Raven Queen, and King of the Great Northern Houses in the year 123 ACW. Promising the people who lived around the Raven Mountains protection from the roving bands of goliaths and access to the rich deposits that resided within the mountain range so long as they paid fealty to him, his house, and his god. He quickly took over the northern lands. Over the 844 years since this declaration, the House of Mourningfell has been able to keep their hold on the northern lands of Fellmoor and keep the promise their ancestor made all those centuries ago.
