The Dwarven Region of K.A.D.U

The dwarven region within the southeastern portion of the Ironwood Mountains was formally united under the K.A.D.U. banner in the year 757 ACW. They share the mountain range with Galorian that has been a constant struggle between them leading to small battles between the two over mining rights.

The country is run in a feudalist society with oligarchal influences. The fifteen great clans have divided the lands amongst themselves.

The country exports gold, silver, platinum, industrial metals, fine stonework, jewelry, fungal produce, weapons, and armor; they import lumber, spices, fish, and grain. They highly covet their precious gems rarely selling them to non-alies.

History

Before the Kingdom of Kadu was founded the fifteen great dwarven clans were in constant war amongst themselves to gain access to the rich deposits within the Ironwood Mountains. Then in the year 589 ACW, the four most powerful clans united under the banner of K.A.D.U., named for the four great clans. Knucklebreaker, Axespliter, Dragonkiller, and Underfury. They then spent the next two centuries bringing the rest of the great clans under the banner and through multiple military campaigns brought the rest of the area to heel. K.A.D.U. was formally established in the year 757 ACW with the aid of Rycrioun in forming a charter for the new country. The war left some clans nearly or completely extinct with some believing a total of 25 clans to have fallen in the war and the few smaller ones left relocating to the other countries in the region.

Geography

The country owns 440 thousand square miles of land, much of which includes the undeveloped wilds of the Southern Ironwood Forest, The Ironwood Mountains, The Dragon Tooth Mountains, and The Sacred River.
