The Council of Advancement and Awareness

The Council of Advancement and Awareness seeks to to preserve all written and spoken knowledge, including religious texts, prophecies, and oral histories; and ensure the far reach of civilization, invention, and the eradication of barbarism. They wish to ensure that magic while useful never is taken to a point that is detrimental to the world. In order to achieve this goal the Council sends teams out to the world to traverse the lands to find lost tomes, speak to those with lost knowledge, remove those who would seek to destroy others with magic, and teach all they come across the gifts that The Builder and The Giver of Insight have to share through both peaceful and military missions. The next ring of the base is the housing for those who work for the Council and those who attend the school; the following ring is the school campus that is able to handle 9,000 students with a teaching staff of 1,800. Each ring of the Council’s base is protected by a wall made of Ironwood stone allowing the base to be highly protected by magical means.

History

In the year 587 BCW The Council along with The Exalted City of Rycca and the school Kerith-Valandras was founded by the first The Voice of the Goddess' Athas Valandras, with his help for 123 years the two grew in power until the Just south of Kingdom of Oreb in the center of Fellmoor spanning the width of the continent sits The Peoples Republic of Rycrioun. Formerly just the Exalted City of Rycca the ruling members of the city set it upon themselves to expand to something more taking control of the surrounding towns and villages either through military action or finding common ground with those who lived there. Now nearly 400 years later the republic is a bustling metropolis of free thinkers, bright inventors, and home to the The Council of Advancement and Awareness; a sect of arcane and divine magic users who closely follow the teachings of the goddess’ Ioun and Erathis. After the last cosmic war. The Council of Advancement and Awareness is made up of acolytes for the goddess’ Erathis and Ioun who work in the school and library known as Kerith-Ald in the capital city of Rycca. With the country spanning the entire width of Fellmoor the acolytes are able to collect knowledge from ships coming in from both the west and east making Kerith-Ald the holder the worlds most coveted knowledge ranging from the most basic of spells all the way to every prophecy written.
