Julien Hawthorne
Julien Hawthorn was a Sun Elf Paladin from Cape Hildegard. His skill and dedication as a warrior earned him many notable and even legendary accolades.

Personal history
Julien was born in Cape Hildegard to Juliana Louison-Hawthorne and S. Jameson Hawthorne, the owners and founders of Hawthorne Garage. He had a twin brother Stanford Hawthorne, and later a younger sister Lida Rose Hawthorne. He left home in the late 870s to study swordsmanship with the minotaur masters in the mountains of Isle Machmorraig. He returned to Cape Hildegard in the 940s to study at the University of Cypruvalu and the College of the Holy Mother, before embarking on a storied adventuring career that would take him across the continent of Belcantas.
Though he is remembered as a quintessential Hildegardian hero, Julien's journeys brought him home to Cape Hildegard only twice. The first time was in Y1057, to seek a specially made sword from his sister, master Artificer Lida Rose (now the sole proprietor of the family garage). The Eye and Hand of Vecna had resurfaced with the Sisters of Sorrow, who had overtaken the throne of the Phoenix Regnant of Malakar. Since prophecy decreed that "only brother's blade" could destroy the Eye and Hand forever, Julien and Lida Rose worked carefully to craft a magical sword capable of slaying the Lich queens. The result was the Scholar's Sword, which did indeed destroy the Eye and Hand shortly after its completion in Y1070.
The second time was to raise his son Axel Hawthorne from Y1092-1099, after divorcing the boy's mother because of her infamous affair with Giovanni Verdini. Julien spent these years in a state of semi-retirement, until called forth to lead an expedition to defeat the evil forces locked inside the Cave of the Banished Scholars. Sadly, as with all previous quests to the caves, no members of this adventuring party returned, and all are presumed dead.
Julien's sword was discovered in the caves in Y1110 by Blanche de la Force. She now wields it as his warrior-heir.
