Hubelon the Broken

Hubelon the Broken, Ambassador of Avernus is a Death Knight believed to be closely allied with Emperor Amadeus.   As a Human, Hubelon served as the commander of the Bull Guard of the King of Dovria. He claimed that a vision from Set led him to break his oath, and he convinced the rest of the Guard to assassinate the entire royal family, throwing the kingdom into chaos and leading directly to its downfall and dissolution. The power of Set raised him to become a death knight during the battle in which he would have otherwise died. He led the remnants of the Bull Guard, now known as the Regiment of the Raging Bull, in a reign of terror across the countryside. He and his regiment were finally subdued by the Beacon of the Skylands in the early days of what would become known as the First Prairie Wars.   Hubelon has been seen in multiple incarnations since then, primarily within the Northern Duchy and Central Duchy of Dreibach, and particularly as an enemy of the Beacon and their allies. The shamans of the Howling Horde have created a tradition of war chants and dances said to summon him; though the success rate of these dances is undetermined, he has been seen on at least two occasions riding at the head of the Horde's raiding parties.   Hubelon's association with Emperor Amadeus dates back at least to the end of the Glorious Revolution. He betrayed his longtime allies among the Orokh and attacked the Prairie Clans to ensure that the Dreibach Empire would rise to power. Rumors on the streets of Val-Nurem report an imposing figure in spiked black armor stalking the streets of the palace; descriptions correspond closely to those given in older appearances of Hubelon.   In all incarnations, Hubelon is known as a skilled rider, jouster, and lancer. The steed that he rides on varies; he occasionally rides a nightmare, as most mounted death knights do, but he has also been described as riding a fiendish bull with horns of fire, occasionally even one sporting batlike wings.
