Central Duchy

The Central Duchy of Dreibach is one of the five duchies of the Dreibach Empire.
Its capital is Val-Nurem, which is also the city where the royal palace sits, and the seat of Dreibach's government. Thus, the Duke or Duchess of the Central Duchy has historically been a major advisor and ally of the royal family of Dreibach.
The second-largest settlement in the Central Duchy is Breughelland, home to the Order of Sarastro. The religion held a strong influence over the region starting in the late 1070s, until the destruction of the Prime Sarastran Temple on the Day of Ascension (9 April Y1111). Breughelland and its surroundings have since been thrown into chaos; the resulting power vacuum has led to increased violence from the Volksconfedrat and the gnoll bands of the southern Ossir Hills.
