Underdark
An extensive cave system that runs under much of the surface world of Olquen. Much of the Underdark remains a mystery to those on the surface and even the larger societies in the upper reaches of the Underdark itself. While some rough maps exist of the "Upper Dark", the depths below are unmapped and the realm of such dark horrors that any attempt to explore there are considered suicidal.
Multiple civilizations exist within the "Upper Dark" including a number of Drow cities and at least two known settlements of Duergar. During the The Sundering, many of the existing tunnels under the surface were destroyed and many new ones were created. The Rift neatly severed several tunnels as well and today these act as ways to enter or exit the Underdark.
